City Issue is pleased to host the work of Nashville native,  Jeff Moore.  Jeff used acrylic on large scale canvas to create this series of abstract work.  By employing the techniques of layering  thick paint,  contrasting tones and sharp stokes over pools of color his paintings create depth as well as a reflective quality.    Jeff says he, "considers the process of creating the painting as important as the end result; the pieces are as much a study of how the paint interacts with itself and with the canvas as they are about a subject."  He leaves his pieces untitled in the hopes of leaving it open to the viewer's interpretation. 

 

Jeff Moore is a self-taught painter and graphic designer, partener and creative director of Green Olive Media, a branding and communications firm.  He and his family live in Atlanta.
